HART was founded in 1991 by a group of individuals who identified the need to support each other during the early days of HIV.   They met in each others living rooms and faced the challenges of those early days together,

HART has continued to evolve and develop since that time into the organisation it is today.   A registered charity and limited company operating out of its premises in the centre of Uxbridge, West London.

We have retained our community based roots and endeavoured to respond to the changing needs of our members.   We offer a friendly, safe environment where our members can receive a variety of support, advice, information and advocacy services to improve the quality of their lives.

Based in central Uxbridge, we serve the Borough of Hillingdon working with  local statutory Health and Social Care organisations.  Our premises are purpose built for us and include a drop in area, therapy rooms, laundry facilities, office space and meeting room.   We have full disabled access to all areas of the building.

Individuals can self refer or seek a referral from their clinician, GP or social worker.   We require people to become members of the Organisation, there is no fee for this and our services are provided free of charge.  We will also support partners, carers and families, once registered.
